Snowmaking for cold weather vehicle and equipment testing & Fire control
In 2005, Torrent was contracted to build a mobile snowmaking unit for the U.S. Army. The trailer contained a Grundfos inline pump, generator, power distribution, pump control panel, ventilation and a base for a pole mounted snow gun provided by Snow Machines, Inc. on the web at www.snowmakers.com.
In 2006, Torrent built a second, smaller unit.
Pines-East Village

When Pines-East Village needed the ability to make a snow trail to a nearby ski resort, they consulted with Torrent to design and build a small, portable unit to fit their needs.
With its approximate weight of 1200 pounds and overall dimensions of four feet wide, six feet long and five feet tall, the trailer can easily be transported to any location without special hauling requirements.
Snow Valley

Working with an existing reservoir, Snow Valley Mountain Resort needed a way to move water to a nearby booster pump station. They chose a 30 HP Grundfos submersible pump to handle the load.
Torrent built a protective shroud to house the pump and equipped it with the hose leading to pipe feeding the booster pump station.
